EDM has dominated the charts for a quite some time now, therefore a backlash was bound to happen – such are the cycles of music. BROHUG wants to speed this process up. Tired of the commercial sides of EDM, they aim to break the conformity and bring back the realness of dance music. And with their fat, funky house tracks they might just succeed. BROHUG consists of the three Swedish DJ’s Christoffer Lunde, John Dahlbäck and Niklas Lunde and together they bring a genre-blending freshness that is as surprising as it is exciting. Their will to stir things up in what they consider to be a stale musical landscape is backed with a fearlessness and most important: an undeniable talent for making innovative dance music. Their unique sound and complex productions got early support from the biggest names in the business such as DJ Snake, Diplo, Tchami and Oliver Helden which contributed to their quick rise to fame.
BROHUG released their first track in 2016, the song was called In The Morning and was released on the prestigious label Confessions. They have already released eight new tracks in 2018, including the entrancing Fun (with Kaskade, Mr. Tape and Madge) and their latest single Be Somebody. BROHUG’s mission to bring the fun back to dance music continues at this year’s Lollapalooza.
