Few Swedish acts have been able to hypnotize the entire international public as captively as The Hives have managed to. World famous for their electrifying live performances, reckless and yet so memorable rock tunes, The Hives have since the beginning constantly been pushing their own and their audiences’ limits. Actually, their riff heavy songs are more than just songs, they’re the soundtrack of our exciting times. On top of it all, front man Howlin’ Pelle keeps the myth of the rock star legend alive, a living testament to the genre’s timeless power.
With slick guitar riffs, roaring vocals and big songs the band is an institution of modern music. Raising to prominence in the early 2000s with their album Veni Vidi Vicious, the Swedish garage rock revival outfit shaped the rock landscape together with acts like The White Stripes and The Strokes. With their strict black-and-white dress code, in combination with their instantly memorable hooks, The Hives printed themselves into the minds of generations of listeners. Sifting through songs, they are now in the process of assembling yet another classic. The Hives will spend early 2019 touring the U.S., before bringing their exhilarating rhythms to Lollapalooza in June.
